The u/21 Free State Cheetahs travels to Pretoria to battle for the number 1 spot on the 2019 u/21 SARU Championship Log. They come off a great win against the Golden Lions last weekend with 59-32 while the Blue Bulls suffered their first loss of the season against Western Province (21-20) at Newlands.

Both teams made wholesale changes upfront while at the back minor changes were made. Expect the Blue Bulls to try and keep the battle upfront while the Cheetahs will spread it wide whenever possible.

The Blue Bulls only made two changes to their backline with V Isaacs moving from fullback to flyhalf with R Kriel coming in at fullback. However, upfront it is only W Fourie at hooker and J Labuschage who moves from #7 to #6 who survived.

The Cheetahs, on the other hand, kept their match-winning backline the same while upfront G Visser is replaced by V Meades at tighthead while L Dapula comes in at #5 from the bench. R Smit and S Engelbrecht are replaced by G Meyer and E Louw forming a new loose forward combination with #8 R vd Merwe.
