During Ruggas.co.za's visit at Hoƫrskool Garsfontein, I had the absolute privilege to spend fifteen minutes with the President of the Blue Bulls Willem Strauss.

He answered my questions regarding the offer of Johann Rupert and Patrice Motsepe, concentrating on the advantages such an offer will have for the Blue Bulls in future years. He expressed his excitement regarding the successes of the Bulls junior teams and his plans to ensure that talent will still have a pathway to the top although it was not identified early on.

Willem revealed interesting facts regarding his salary and his early days as a scout and agent. In the end, I realised that the future of the Blue Bulls is in the hands of a passionate rugby supporter who is willing to walk that extra mile with a smile on his face.

The discussion of the Springboks' performance during the quarter-finals against Japan, sparked some interesting comments but we all agreed that the lack of a proper pathway for coaches in South Africa is to be blamed for most of the current problems.

A wonderful day spent at Garsfontein.

We thank you all for the support, advice and critique we are getting. We are learning with every new episode and you are welcome to send questions and suggestions on who to visit next.
